November 11, 2025, at midnight, our crowdfunding campaign will come to a definitive end. The next morning, we started our second day of recording.

Here are a few other memorable dates:

February 27, 2021: Mathis Desmier and Jesse Guttridge play together for the first time.

September 19, 2021: They form their first band.

September 23, 2022: Les Cas Perdus is formed, Nino Kok joins.

September 20, 2023: Antoine joins the band and together we prepare our first EP, What It Takes.

May 21, 2024: What It Takes is released and receives over 11,000 plays.

September 30, 2025: Almost a hundred concerts later (or more, we stopped counting), we launch a crowdfunding campaign, a last resort to try and finance an album that we had been preparing since the day after the release of What It Takes.

At that point, we are hopeful, but we are also realistic. It might not work, and we might have to wait even longer. Increasingly, concerns set in.

On November 7, 2025, those concerns are shattered, giving way to the joy of knowing that we are supported, that we are not alone; and above all, that thanks to you, our album will see the light of day.

We are not unaware of the responsibility that comes with this support. We have reached a point where enough people are listening to our voice and helping us project it even further, to reach even more people. And in this world, that is a gift not to be taken lightly.

The album you are helping us make will not be for us, but for you. It will be one of our first attempts as artists to make a difference in such an indifferent world. And we promise you that we will do everything in our power to ensure that the album fulfills it's duty.

To learn more about our thoughts on the subject, feel free to listen to Jesse's speech before the last song played at the Truskel on 11/8/25, at the top of the page.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you. We salute you.

xoxo
